Went back to Adelaide for Jo's Grandma's funeral. Lovely service where everyone got to say what they wanted. Jo did a great job writing and reading the obituary. Thanks to all who sent condolences.
The answer to
last weeks problem is...
If I assemble all the people in front of me, there's 9 people. They all gave different answers so they must have answered 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. 8 must be the partner of 0 since 8 shook hands with everyone except their partner (ie. everyone else must be >= 1). 7 must be the partner of 1 since 7 shook hands with everyone except their partner and 0 (ie. everyone else must be >= 2 since they should with both 7 and 8). Similarly, 6 must be the partner of 2 and 5 is the partner of 3. Leaving my partner as 4 and me shaking hands with 5, 6, 7 and 8 ie. 4 people.
