The legislation is out for the AUSFTA. Initial reviews don't look good.
 
 
The government announced tougher competition laws for companies today. Interesting to consider this relative to the IP provisions of the AUSFTA which generally hinder competition. Also, good to see they support collective bargaining for small companies but not for individuals (eg. Unions).
Oh, and schools are going to get more money if they display an Australian flag. I wonder if they'll start offering tax cuts to individuals if they display an Australian flag as well or give tax benefits to people who are in heterosexual relationships. Oh, hang on, they already plan to do the latter. Sigh.
