Rusty spoke at the
Senate Select Committee on the FTA. He did a good presentation and answered questions well. Seems that people who care about the issues (other than big business) don't want the DMCA in Australia and the rest are apathetic, which probably explains why he didn't asked any nasty questions. This seems to be the same as what happened during the negotiation stages, but no one in Australia who knows about the issues was consulted, hence we got screwed.
This FTA "doesn't pass the laugh test". Under the FTA it'll be illegal to play a DVD legally bought in the USA on an DVD player legally bought in Australia. So much for the Free Trade Agreement
