My folks were over for the weekend. It's the first time we've seen them since the wedding so it was good to catch up and swap photos. Friday we tried to get into the National library but it was closed with a
security scare (first the terrorist get the books, then they get the power!?!?!) so we went to the National Museum instead. They have an
exhibition on the best political cartoons for the year at the moment.
This was my favorite. Saturday morning we walked to the
Bakers Delight in Woden as they've started selling Sticky Cinnamon rolls which are the closest thing to the fantastic
Cinnabon scrolls which I use to have while in Sinapore (although it's a US chain). We went to
The Boathouse By the Lake Restaurant on Saturday night which was excellent. We'd been warned that the servings were very small, but they more than enough. I think they must have started increasing their sizes as I'd be very surprised at anyone complaining about them being too small. The beautiful weather on Sunday inspired us to have a picnic by the lake.
